Hours

To accommodate working parents the center offers before and after care programs.
From 6:45 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M to 6:00P.M
Children may be enrolled in the following programs:

  • Five full days: 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
  • Five half days: 9:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. –mornings /option to include lunch and extend to 1:00 P.M.
  • Three full or three half days: programs are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
  • Two full or two half days: programs are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Food

The center provides a well balanced, child friendly Kosher menu.
Breakfast is served until 8:15 A.M. for children enrolled in the early care program. Nutritious morning and afternoon snacks, as well as lunch for full day students is also provided. Substitutions are available. The monthly menu is reviewed by a registered dietitian and distributed at the beginning of each month. Meals are served in your child’s classroom. Second portions are available for hungry little appetites.

Facilities

Our school facilities include 14 spacious and sunny rooms, 3 outdoor play areas and an indoor gym.
Our indoor gym is beautifully equipped and designed with young children’s needs, abilities and safety in mind. A sports director coordinates the sports program. The outdoor playgrounds give the children limitless opportunities for active and creative play. The infant/waddler playground is carpeted for safety and fully shaded in the summer.

Staff

Our teachers are warm, caring adults selected for their knowledge, experience, and ability in working with young children. Group teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education. All staff members are required to attend child care seminars and in-service training courses throughout their tenure at Shalom Day Care Center. Each staff member completes a thorough application and screening. This includes a criminal record check, finger-printing, state clearance, and professional references check.

Confidentiality

Our center maintains information regarding children, families, and staff in confidence and will not discuss or release it to persons outside of Shalom Day Care Center unless prior written permission has been obtained from the parties involved.  Student records are open only to the particular child’s teacher, the Director, an authorized employee of the licensing agency, or the student’s parent or legal guardian.

Safety

  • All rooms are equipped with an intercom/phone system for general use and emergencies. Emergency numbers are posted next to each phone

  • Our families and authorized visitors receive the security code for our entry doors

  • Upon entering our center, all guests and visitors are required to sign in at the office, show idenification, and indicate their purpose for visiting
